You already know
how to quote.
What you don’t have
is time.
Printara does in 30 seconds the math you do in half an hour: how many pieces fit on the sheet, how much paper to buy and how much margin you’re left with. With your prices, not ours.
What do you charge
for that job?
Are you sure?
In most shops the price comes out of an inherited spreadsheet, a scrap of paper or memory. It isn’t carelessness: nobody has half an hour per quote. And every imposition mistake eats the margin, not the customer.
Broken formulas, undated versions, math that changes when someone moves a cell. Everyone has their own file.
Working out by hand how many pieces fit on a sheet is slow and error-prone. One imposition mistake wipes out the whole margin.
Paper went up, ink changed, but your price sheet says otherwise. You’re quoting with six-month-old numbers.
Three kinds of work.
One system.
Commercial printing
Business cards, flyers, posters, brochures and labels. Automatic imposition tries every orientation and picks the layout that makes the most of the sheet.
Books and magazines
Magazines, books, booklets and catalogs. Cover and text calculated separately — different papers, inks and presses for each part.
Boxes and packaging
Folding cartons and corrugated. It lays out the die-line in real time — the exact flat with dimensions, flaps and fold lines, generated instantly.
Everything your
print shop needs.
One quoting tool that calculates, controls costs and manages customers. No plugins, no side spreadsheets, no versions.
Imposition calculator
with live diagram
Enter the size and quantity. Printara tries every orientation, picks the layout that makes the most of the sheet and shows you the exact arrangement — waste area included.

From job ticket to price
in 3 steps
No training, no manual. If you can use Excel, Printara will feel obvious.
Describe the job
Name, quantity, finished size, paper and finishing. Thirty seconds.
Check the imposition
Printara works out how many pieces fit per sheet on each press. You pick the best option.
Get the price
Itemized cost, suggested selling price and margin — from your real rate card.
Your whole shop
in half an hour.
You, on your own — no consultant, nobody coming to install anything. Most print shop software needs weeks of implementation; this one comes together in an afternoon.
Set up your rate card
You add each paper once — weight, size and the price your supplier charges you — and from then on every quote uses that number. Change it when paper moves, and the change lands everywhere.
Add your presses
Look up your press by name: it comes with its sheet size, gripper and side lay. You confirm the one thing nobody else knows — what an hour on it costs you, and what a plate costs.
First quote
Describe the job, pick the press and get the price with your margin. No help. No manual. No training.
Your whole shop
quoting the same way.
Up to five people on the same account, each with their own: whoever quotes doesn’t have to see costs, and whoever keeps the rate card doesn’t need the CRM. When paper goes up, you change one number and everyone quotes at the new price. No files over WhatsApp, no versions.
Quoting without exact numbers
gets expensive.
Every eyeballed job is lost margin or a customer who doesn’t come back. With Printara you get the exact number in 30 seconds.

What every printer
asks us.
How much does Printara cost?
It depends on how many job types you quote: one (General, Publishing or Packaging — your pick) is $29.99 a month or $299.99 a year; two, $47.99 a month or $479.99 a year; all three, $59.99 a month or $599.99 a year. Prices are in US dollars. When you create your account you get 30 days free with no credit card — you try the full quoting tool with your own prices before you pay a cent.
Does it work for digital printing, or only offset?
Printara was built for offset — press sheets, imposition, spoilage, guillotine cuts — but the rate card is yours: you can add digital presses with their own cost per impression and quote digital work, publishing (books and magazines) and packaging (folding cartons and corrugated) from the same system.
How does it calculate imposition and spoilage?
You enter the finished size and Printara works out how many pieces fit on each sheet — accounting for bleed, gripper and gutter — and shows the layout in a diagram. Spoilage is calculated in sheets based on the run length, not guessed. So you buy exactly the paper you need.
Do I need to install anything or buy equipment?
No. Printara runs in your browser — on your computer, tablet or phone. No per-computer licenses, no servers, no updates to install. You log in and quote from wherever you are, even at the counter with the customer in front of you.
Can I use my own paper and press prices?
Yes — that’s the foundation of everything. You set up your presses (printable area, sheet cuts, cost per impression), your papers at the price your supplier charges you, and your finishing rates. When paper goes up, you update one number and every future quote comes out at the right price.
Does the PDF quote carry my shop’s logo?
Yes. The PDF goes out with your logo, your details and even your brand color — ready to send to the customer by email or WhatsApp on the spot. It looks like a quote from a serious print shop, not an Excel table pasted into Word.
Does it work wherever my shop is?
Yes. The rate card uses your own prices, so Printara adapts to your local costs: paper, plates and finishing at the prices your suppliers charge you. It works for print shops anywhere.
Where do the paper prices come from?
They come from you. You set up each paper at the price your supplier charges you, and every quote uses that number — change it once and every future quote follows. The paper catalog with suggested prices per kilo is built for the Mexican market today, so on accounts in inches and pounds you enter your own papers.
